SACRAMENTO — Today, the Yes on Prop 35 campaign launched its statewide paid media campaign, with two ads that will run on broadcast, cable, streaming and digital platforms. The ads, called, “Protect Access to Care” and “Planned Parenthood Urges Yes on 35,” will run in media markets across the state.
“As we near Election Day, it’s more important than ever to ensure that voters understand the importance of passing Prop 35 to help protect and expand access to health care for the 15 million Californians who rely on Medi-Cal and all Californians,” said Jodi Hicks, Prop 35 Campaign Co-Chair and President & CEO of Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California. “We are excited to take our message to the voters.”
The ads are part of a comprehensive plan to ensure voters learn about Proposition 35 in advance of ballots dropping in early October. They complement an extensive grassroots campaign to educate voters. Prop 35 is supported by a broad-based coalition of community clinics, first responders, health care providers, doctors, specialists, social justice and equity advocates, businesses and both the California Democratic and Republican parties.
“Prop 35 is desperately needed now to address the health care crisis facing millions of patients. We’re confident voters will pass this measure to address our most urgent health care priorities.” added Hicks.
